About Me

A love of photography is something that caught me off guard, as I never considered myself an artist. In fact, I don’t think I ever will feel that way.

I was 15 years old when I received a SLR camera for Christmas. I read some books on photography, and with the growth of the internet, found myself looking at photographs online, wondering about the photographer’s technique and how they achieved a certain look. I kept researching these things as I worked on the basics of photography with my film camera. I can’t say I ever took a great shot with that first camera, but it laid the foundation for me.

The advance of digital photography enabled me to begin learning techniques much faster than I have learned them with film. It allowed me to grasp concepts that I was not able to understand before. I soon found myself going just about everywhere with my camera equipment and constantly looking around me for something that would make a great photograph. I found a couple of really great places in the Philadelphia area and started to visit them again and again. Each time, I found myself able to correct some mistakes from the previous attempt. Eventually, I started getting pictures that I was not only satisfied with, but also proud to have taken them. I now have a that I am truly proud to show the world.
